When I style my daughters’ hair – I use rubber bands! You heard me….based on the style I actually use rubber bands in my girls’ hair. For many of us, the use of rubber bands in our children’s hair is rather taboo….I mean seriously…they can be rather damaging right?
The truth is…it’s all in how you use them.
1. I never leave rubber bands in my kids hair longer than three days. I switch them up – if I keep the same style in.
2. When I use rubber bands, I let them soak in oil prior to use (any oil, but normally olive or coconut oil)
3. I always cut the rubber bands off of their hair rather than pulling them off .
4. I use rubber bands sparingly…maybe…and this is a high guesstimate…maybe twice a month!
This style was done using rubber bands…. and I think it looks really cute! I used mini-butterfly clips as an added accessory!
Now that I have shared my truth…what’s yours? Do you use rubber bands? How often? If you don’t why not?
