This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Curly Pool Party 2011 – hosted by NaturallyCurly.com and NaturalSelection. I have to tell you – this combination of hosts know how to throw a party! All attendees where given a goodie bag of hair products from the sponsors – Hair Rules, Ouidad, Jane Carter, and SheaMoisture. That in and of itself was reason to attend this event. Aside from that, the party was filled with huge giveaways and some amazing hair demonstrations.
But if that wasn’t enough, the attendees were beautiful curly heads! I mean, the natural scene at the hotel was AMAZING! Curlies were all over, different races, textures, colors, you name it, the curls came out!
Some of the highlights of this event for me, was talking with Dickey of Hair Rules – as always, he was so responsive to all of the questions asked of him, watching a Ouidad hair demonstration, meeting up with some other like minded natural hair fanatics. Oh – and the pool wasn’t half bad either. Here are some pictures of people I met at the event!
